How to get temporary insurance on my sister's car in Ireland?
My sister lived in Co Donegal for 40 years. She had a Skoda Citigo (2012 reg). I brought her back to the UK three years ago to a care home where she now lives. I have tried to insure the car in my name but cannot do so because I am not permanently resident in Ireland. Is there any way I can get it insured for me to drive when I visit every few months?

Have I been overcharged for a timing belt change?
Have just paid for a timing belt on a ford focus 1.6 Zetec TDCi manual and it has cost me €1,650. The mechanic said he had skimmed the head gaskets as well. Have I been over charged? Your answer would be much appreciated, thank you.

What do do with my 2014 Peugeot 208?
I have a 2014 Peugeot 208. The AA man said he thinks the timing chain jumped. Will this have destroyed the engine completely, or is it worth having it inspected, and parts replaced or get another engine and have that taken apart and checked and made good any bad?
Not sure what to do.
Thank you.

Has the Volvo XC90 T8 PHEV a rear-axle issue?
Hi,
I'm looking at Volvo XC90s. In the 2019/2020 T8 hybrid, should the known ERAD problem be a concern? Is there anything to mitigate the risk? Does Volvo cover replacement if the vehicle has a full Volvo service history? Or is it safer to stick with the D5/B5 variant?
Thanks

Should I import a car via Ireland to Spain from the North?
Hi,
We are moving to Spain and thinking about buying a car from NI. Is it better to first register it in ROI and then transfer it to Spanish registration or directly registering it in Spain? There might be a problem in Spain as the car was not in use by us for six months. Also, does the same exemption apply to VAT as it does to ROI with the vehicle being in NI private use from before 2020 Brexit?
