Bridgestone unveils road-legal Potenza Race R track tyre

Bridgestone has revealed its new Potenza Race R semi-slick tyre, designed for extreme dry grip, rapid warm-up and track performance while remaining road legal. Debuting on the Lamborghini Revuelto SV at Monterey Week, the bespoke fitment uses a motorsport-derived compound and aggressive tread pattern, with development aided by Bridgestone’s Virtual Tyre Development technology.

Mobile phone distraction targeted in new road safety campaign by SDCC

South Dublin County Council has launched a campaign highlighting the dangers of mobile phone distraction ahead of a National Day of Action for Mobile Phone Distraction on August 19. Backed by An Garda Síochána and the RSA, it warns that using a phone while driving makes a collision four times more likely. Gardaí will also operate checkpoints as part of the initiative.
