Where to stick a toll tag on an Opel Grandland?

Where can you place a toll badge on the windshield of an Opel Grandland GS electric? The entire windshield is covered in heating wires, and there are no black dotted areas where you'd normally place a badge.

Or wouldn't the heating wires interfere with the badge? I haven't received a satisfactory answer anywhere, not even from Opel, where it simply says, "Just stick it somewhere on the windshield, it'll work."

Thanks in advance for a reply

Any VRT on importing a used Nissan Leaf?

Hi,

I am looking at buying a 2023 Nissan Leaf Tekna from the North. The garage has said that there is no VRT to pay as it is an electric vehicle. Is that correct? I have checked the Revenue VRT calculator, and it has given me a figure of around €2,300.

Regards

Why didn't you like the Jaecoo 7 SHS?

Hello,

I would like to buy a Jaecoo 7 SHS, but after I read your review, I am a bit confused.

You wrote: "The SHS version of the Jaecoo will tempt some, with its efficiency and value, but those customers will be doomed to crushing disappointment."

Why is that? Sorry to ask but you are the first who wrote this type of opinion.

Best regards

How much VRT to import a Ford Transit from the North?

Hi,

I was thinking of buying a Ford Transit in NI and bringing it into the South and converting it into a campervan. Any idea what VRT I would have to pay?

What will we replace our BMW 330e with?

Hi,

We have a 201 BMW 330e Sport saloon with 65, 000km on the clock and are considering changing for a 2023/2024 car. We like the 330e but are undecided as to whether to go for another 330e or try a different make and model.

What other similar hybrids would you suggest?

Considering importing a new Audi RS e-tron GT...

Hello,

I am trying to figure if it makes sense to buy an new Audi RS e-tron GT in Northern Ireland. The car would cost around £125k. Is it possible to buy a new car in Northern Ireland and import it to the ROI?

Should I buy it VAT-free (if possible), and what VRT or import duty should I expect to pay? If the car were a demo model would this change anything?

 Thanks

MGS5 or one of these Cupras?

Thank you for your very helpful review of the MGS5 SUV. I'm looking to buy our first EV for January 2026, and am impressed with the MG. I also looked at the Cupra Born but cannot find online any comprehensive comparison between the two. Could you advise please?

Also, the Cupra sales guy told me the Tavascan discount (replicating the SEAI grant) may continue to 2026, bringing its price in under €40k. If that is right, my budget might reach it. Can you advise the best choice between these three cars?

I'm leaning toward to MG, particularly with its seven-year warranty, but the Cupras have nice screens tilted toward the driver and the interiors are very nice.

Thank you
