Hi Amy,

This is not something you can do yourself. A certified electrician at the least is required to do the work, but really, the easiest way to get this done is to search online and find a company specialising in supply and installation of the EV chargers as a full service.

They will come and check out your property and the electrics to ensure your house is suitable, and suggest upgrades and changes as required. Then they can talk through options for the EV charger itself and help you obtain the SEAI grant towards it all.

Look for consumer reviews of companies before you commit to any one - and do let us know how you get on.
