Are VRT rates the same for Northern Irish cars?

Hi,

Looking at buying a 2003 MINI Cooper S. My online VRT calculation is saying the VRT rate is 41 per cent of OMSP due to the CO₂ rate. The car is Northern Irish; is it still the same 41 per cent rate for Northern Irish cars?

Hi Alex,

I'm afraid VRT rates are the same regardless of where the car comes from. They apply to the first time a car is registered in Ireland
