Should I buy the VW Golf 1.2 or a Toyota Auris 1.3?

My question is: I'm looking to change my 2006 1.2 SEAT Ibiza and am considering the 1.2 Volkswagen Golf Highline or the Toyota Auris 1.3 Sport. I drive every day, mostly city driving but only do about 6,000km a year. Do you have any comments on either of the cars I'm considering or is there anything else I should have a look at?

Many thanks for your help

Brendan.

Is the Opel Meriva a decent buy?

Hi lads, just a quick question.

We have a 2003 Fiat Punto and we are expecting twins shortly. We were looking for a five-door car with Isofix seats but not too big a body. We are thinking about an Opel Meriva Club version, 3-4 years old. The Meriva has a flat and level boot that would leave some space for shopping etc. Basically, is the Meriva a good car, cheap to run and flexible enough to cope with two young babies?

Do you have any info on autodirect.ie? They seem to offer good deals.

Which Kia pro_cee'd will I buy?

Hi, I am thinking of updating my car to a 2008-2009 Kia pro_cee'd. I think it is a good looking car and the seven-year warranty a real plus point. Would you recommend this car or know if it's a nice drive? I do roughly 10,000km per year so wondering if the petrol engine might be better for me. Would there be much of a power/economy difference to the diesel model? Is there anything else to watch out for?

Thanks, Ciaran

I have injector problems with my Skoda Octavia.

Hi,

My 2007 Skoda Octavia (a 1.4-litre with 90,000km on the clock) was misfiring badly for a good while before the engine warning light came on. The 'bank 1' oxygen sensor went so we replaced the sensor and the warning light went off. No faults were showing on the diagnostic tool (electrics diagnostics only), but the engine was still misfiring. Unburned fuel was found in cylinder 3, which we eventually got cleaned out.

The coil and spark plugs were testing and found to be firing so it looks like the fuel injector for this cylinder is the problem. I'm going to bring it to a main dealer to try resolve as I think best case is to re-program the injector or worst case, replace it. My question is, how much should this cost to do in best and worst case scenario?

Thanks! Linda

What options will I add to my BMW 520d?

Hello I would like to buy a BMW 520d in January 2012. I need some advice about options. I would like to get metallic paint, 18-inch wheels, xenon lights, a reversing camera, variable dampers and sunroof. This will raise the price of the car by about six thousand Euros. I would like to know if I should go with this spec please.

VW Passat or BMW 530d with my €10,000?

I have about €10k to spend on a car; should I buy a 2.0 TDI Passat (07-08) or a BMW 530d (04-05)? I do a lot of driving and really would love a BMW but I'm worried about problems that may come with big mileage.

New Honda CR-V, Subaru Forester or BMW X3?

Hello,

I have a 2004 Honda CR-V 2.0-litre petrol that I want to change next year. One of the three cars I have in mind is the new diesel CR-V because they are so reliable. My CR-V has 112,000 miles on the clock and a blown light bulb has been the most trouble it's ever given.

The second car is a Subaru Forester because again it's reliable and roomy.

My final choice is a new model BMW X3 because of less tax. I have test driven one and liked it a lot. Could you give some advice please?
