Is there a new Skoda Karoq on the way?

Dear CompleteCar team,

I was wondering will there be a next generation Skoda Karoq in petrol, diesel and PHEV variants? While the Elroq has replaced an SUV of that size for Skoda, it does not have a rival for all the other SUVs of that size apart from the current Karoq offering, which I feel needs a fresh look. If nothing else to take on the new front look of the Elroq and Enyaq.

Any information would be welcome. Great insightful website. Keep up the good work.

I've bought an ex-demo car from a dealer in the North...

I purchased a car that was a demo model in the UK, and it was bought by the NI dealer to sell. I have the V5c logbook and the HMRC Duty Reimbursement Scheme form. The car was imported in a lot of four. Will I have to pay VAT and import duty?

Can a Northern dealer give me a form to ensure I don't pay VAT on import?

Hi,

A VW garage in Belfast says that I won't have to pay VAT on an EV they imported from UK mainland on a English plate when I bring it south as they can provide me with some form/ document saying it has been brought in according to the Windsor agreement. He said he's done this ten times this year already.

Will our pals in the NCT centres accept this?

Thank you

Can you help determine if I have to pay VAT etc on this car?

Hello, wondering if you could help with my query, please. Thinking of buying a used car from NI. First registration was in UK in 2021. Second buyer was a resident of NI, and he registered that car in Dec 2022 in Belfast. First MOT was passed in NI in Jan 2025. Could you please confirm if this car would be exempt from VAT and custom duties?

Thank you.

Kind regards
