What's the news?

Fiat is the latest brand to offer buyers a trade-in booster for those looking to chop in older, less valuable cars against a shiny, new toy. As long as your car has been registered for at least six months, has a valid NCT and road tax and four months' insurance, you can use it to get some serious discounts off a new Fiat.

Those trade-ins kick off with €2,500 off the price of a new Fiat 500 1.2 Pop, which brings the price of what is one of Fiat's best cars (and still the most enjoyable-to-drive city car) down to €11,000.

Next up, you can get €3,000 off the price of a 500L people carrier, which brings, for example, the price of a 1.4 Pop down to €14,950, while the same discount brings the price of the impressive 500X crossover down to just €16,900.

The biggest discount is off the seven-seat 500L MPW, which is an oddball looking car but might suddenly start to look rather more tempting with a price tag of €21,250 thanks to a €4k trade-in bonus.

Anything else?

All Fiats are being offered on a 6.9 per cent APR PCP package, while a five-year warranty and five-year roadside assistance package are both standard on all models.
