How do I stop the exhaust fumes coming into my car?

Please help: I have exhaust fumes on driver's side when the window is down. Car was recently tuned. Cold start switch also replaced. I also used foam strips to seal boot lid and had the exhaust checked for leaks and there were none. I have a five-month old baby that drives with us and am very concerned. I am desperate...

Hi Lee,

By far the most common cause of this is poor sealing on the boot lid. If you're sure that is not the problem then look for other sources of leak at the rear of the car. Lift up the boot carpets and look for rust or other holes.
