I drove through a flood in my car. Help!

Yesterday there was a lot of rain near my area and I drove through water at about 20km/h up to my headlights. The car stopped as water entered the exhaust. I towed it to my place and it's more than six hours since and my car hasn't started yet. What should I do?

Hi Dhiren,

Basically, you need to call a mechanic. While sometimes a simple drying out can bring a flooded car back to life, it all depends on where the water has gotten in, how much water, and how long it was in there for. It’s obviously impossible for us to diagnose a broken car over the internet, so get it towed to a garage and see what can be done.
