What will I change my Micra for?

I have a 2003 Nissan Micra. The 'bubble' shape means that the inside of the windscreen gets very misty in wet weather. I'd like to get a similar five-door hatchback, but without the condensation problem.

What would you suggest?

Hi there,

We could do with a little more information. What is your budget and how many miles are on your Micra?

You have come back to us since and have said that you have €10,000 as well as your current car. You could perhaps expect to get around €3,000 for your Micra if it is in good condition as the mileage is very low. By adding another €10,000 to that you have quite a few options. Your car isn't old enough to qualify for the scrappage scheme, but there are lots of decent offers around. Renault in particular have some great deals at the moment. Fiat too have some super offers. You could get into a Fiat 500 for your budget and you could find that a really fun car to drive. The 1.2 Pop model would be well within your budget at €12,695 but is only available as a 3-door. Another cool new car is the Skoda Fabia, which is similarly priced. If you thought you could stretch your budget then the best car is the Ford Fiesta. It would depend on what you would be offered as a trade-in, but you might need to spend a little over your budget to get one, but it is a super little car.

I think what I would do is buy a 2009 Ford Fiesta with tiny mileage, such as this one on sale in Louth http://tiny.cc/lopjs - this would be a super little car and well within your budget.
