Would I pay just VRT importing this Subaru Outback?
If I buy a 2021 Northern Ireland registered Subaru Outback (2.5i SE Premium Lineartronic 4WD with 16,000 miles on the clock) will it be covered by the Windsor Framework, i.e. I pay only VRT, no VAT, no customs duty? The car has had only one owner.

Can I import a car to Spain via Ireland?
Looking to take a UK-plated Defender 110 HS Dynamic to Spain for matriculation. I am a resident in Spain with British citizenship. I have been told this is not possible, but I have also been told I could get the vehicle registered in Ireland then over to Spain. What do you think?

Where to get NOx data for a Japanese BMW X3?
I'm looking at importing a car from Japan, 2020 BMW X3 20d '3DA-UZ20'. I managed to find the CO2 emissions on the MLIT page, but I cannot find the NOx emissions anywhere. Where can I get it, or what will be accepted by Revenue at the VRT?

Will VAT and customs be due on this older BMW?
Will customs and VAT be due on a year 2000 BMW? It was imported from GB to Northern Ireland in 2018 by NI dealer for his car collection. His purchase receipt from 2018 is present along with the transport/shipping documents. The V5C remained on a GB address as the dealer bought it and never sold it on. It never had an MOT in Northern Ireland as it was in a "car collection". Just wondering how this will work out regarding VAT and import duty.

Wondering about paperwork on importing a car from NI...
Hi,
I was reading your piece on importing a car from Northern Ireland and I had a few questions:
If importing a GB-reg car that has been in use in Northern Ireland for a 'reasonable period of time' and I can show this by V5C and an MOT carried out in NI is that enough for Revenue in Ireland so that I don't have to pay customs or VAT?
In your piece you say that I must show "a copy of an invoice from a transport company identifying the vehicle and delivery date; tax and insurance details indicating use in Northern Ireland."
What if I can't get those documents from the dealer I purchase the car from?
I would be grateful for your advice.
Thanks
Conor

Is it just VRT and the NOx levy on this car in the North?
I've been looking at a car in Belfast that was originally a GB car bought by a dealer and brought over to Northern Ireland. Am I right in saying that if I import this car down south that the only taxes to be paid would be VRT and NOx emissions levy?
