Rolls-Royce creates €70,000 MINI

The MINI Inspired by Goodwood was made by Rolls-Royce and could cost up to €70,000.

We know MINI is good at charging customers for options, but the Rolls-Royce developed "MINI inspired by Goodwood" is set to cost around €70,000.

The ultra-exclusive MINI will be built alongside other models at the BMW-owned factory in England. However, the Goodwood MINI will be made to special order and only 1,000 will be made in total, starting in the spring of 2012.

Just like a full-size Rolls-Royce, the Goodwood will use Cornsilk leather for the special Lounge seats, walnut burr trim and black nappa leather for the dash top. Other items will be finished in Rolls-Royce's piano black, while the dials will use the same typeface as the Rolls-Royce Phantom.

Outside, the MINI Inspired by Goodwood will have unique Diamond Black metallic paint and 17-inch alloy wheels. Alternatively, customers can opt for a Reef Blue metallic paint finish. The body kit comes from the Cooper S, but the Goodwood edition will use the Cooper D's bonnet so there is no air scoop to interrupt the car's lines, says MINI.

Included in the substantial price will be parking sensors, Xenon headlights, climate control and a Harmon Kardon stereo system.

The MINI Cooper S 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine will power the Goodwood model with 183hp for 0-100km/h in 7.0 seconds. A six-speed manual gearbox will be standard, but customers can also specify a six-speed automatic.
