McLaren McL 820 confirmed for 2027 as 750S successor with 820hp
Published
McLaren has confirmed the McL 820 as its next series-production supercar, arriving in 2027 to succeed the outgoing 750S, itself an evolution of the 720S launched in 2017.
The new car will produce 820hp, though McLaren has yet to reveal its powertrain and whether it will use a hybrid system.
Rather than unveiling the car, McLaren revealed its name on a giant camouflaged kiwi statue in London, referencing founder Bruce McLaren’s New Zealand heritage.
The McL prefix introduces a new naming convention linking the company's road and racing divisions. Further details are promised next year.
