Blackwater Motors, one of the most significant dealer groups in the south west of Ireland, is the latest franchise holder for Cupra. The Spanish brand, spun-off from SEAT, focuses on electric and high-performance models, and has just launched the new Terramar SUV to join the likes of the Tavascan, Born, Leon, and Formentor.
Cupra's Irish sales growing fast
Cupra has become a big success in the Irish market, with its sales growing by 28 per cent year on year, and now it will be represented in County Cork by Blackwater Motors.
Multiple showrooms across County Cork
Founded in 1991, Blackwater Motors has grown into one of Ireland's most respected automotive retailers. Today, the group represents Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Audi, and SEAT across multiple showrooms in County Cork, and also provides Skoda aftersales services. A spokesperson for Blackwaters said that: “The addition of Cupra to the portfolio marks an exciting new chapter, further expanding the group's progressive brand offering.”
