TechArt GrandGT Supreme does 0-100km/h in 3.4 seconds.

What's the news?

TechArt, a German manufacturer that specialises in making Porsches go terrifically fast and look rather distinctive, is going to unleash a 640hp/900Nm version of the Panamera Sport Turismo Turbo on the world at the Geneva Motor Show.

Called the TechArt GrandGT Supreme, this monster wears custom Racing Green paintwork, plus the TechArt styling package for the Sport Turismo, some 22-inch TechArt Formula IV alloys and a TechArt sport exhaust system with titanium/carbon-fibre tailpipes.

The interior is perhaps more eye-catching still, as it features TechArt-derived leather that was vegetable-tanned, resulting in hide that is free of chromium and finished without the use of solvents. Thus, this striking leather covers the entire interior of the Sport Turismo, including footwells, door cards and the dash top, and it features a tartan-esque pattern of stitching in various colours, while even the roof lining features matching stitching. A TechArt sport steering wheel and custom-painted trims in the same green as the exterior complete the individual look of the GrandGT Supreme.

Moving onto the powerplant, it's the unadorned twin-turbo, 4.0-litre V8 petrol of the Panamera Turbo, which normally develops more-than-healthy figures of 550hp and 770Nm. TechArt, though, squeezes 640hp out of this unit, as well as a colossal 900Nm from the motor - meaning the GrandGT Supreme has more torque than a Panamera Sport Turismo Turbo S E-Hybrid's 850Nm figure, with a power output that's not far off that Porsche's 680hp.

As such, TechArt claims some searing performance from the GrandGT Supreme: it can match the Turbo S E-Hybrid to 100km/h with a 3.4-second sprint, without having to resort to hybrid assistance, and it'll go past 200km/h just 8.3 seconds later. Wow.

Anything else?

Alongside the TechArt GrandGT Supreme in Geneva will be a Carbon Fibre Sport Package for the 911 GT3, the TechArt GTStreet R Cabriolet (based on the 911 Turbo S) and a full range of TechArt products for the Macan SUV, including a power kit for the Macan Turbo with the Porsche Performance Package.
