It's certainly very striking to look at, and the metal fillets in the grille look more and more like robotic lips to us. There are hints of the Chevrolet Camaro about the way the grille, lights and bumper all meet and mix together, but of course it may not look quite so striking in the flesh.
Of the inside, Kia says that the "Stonic's interior places technology and ergonomics at its heart, with smart packaging maximising space for all occupants." There will also be a 'floating' central touchscreen with full smartphone integration.
As for technical details, well there aren't any yet, but we do know that the Stonic will platform-share with the Hyundai Kona, and that it will borrow the 1.0-lite turbo three-cylinder petrol and 1.6 diesel engines from the cee'd.
Global sales start in the summer (it'll be October before it hits the ground here), and Kia claims that the Stonic will be the most customisable Kia ever.
