It's not perhaps the most surprising news - Audi has been working hard to put dibs on all Q-numbered badges, from Q1 through to Q9, and the Q4 will be a sportier, sexier version of the next-generation Q3, and a rival for the rather sexy BMW X2. Q3 production will also shift to the Hungarian factory, moving out of Seat's plant in Barcelona. The A1 will move into Barcelona to take up the production slack there.
Meanwhile, Audi has also officially confirmed that the Q8, a sportier, more luxurious version of the Q7, will go into production later this year in Audi's Bratislava factory, in Slovakia.
"We will integrate two completely new Q models into the existing production network and will thus increase our competitiveness in an extremely important segment," stated Audi's Board of Management Member for Production and Logistics, Prof. Dr. Hubert Waltl.
