There will be two battery options for the ID. Tiguan starting with a 58kWh LFP pack and a 450-kilometre range. A larger 77kWh NMC battery will provide enough energy for up to 600 kilometres of driving on a single charge, and that battery will be priced from €43,821 inclusive of grants.
Talk us through the trim levels
Buyers in Ireland will have the choice of two specification grades initially: Life and Style. A sportier R-Line model will be introduced mid-way through 2027. Both battery sizes will be available to order in Life specification, but only the larger battery will be offered in the higher Style car.
Marking the arrival of the ID. Tiguan, Volkswagen Ireland has also commissioned a Launch Edition model, based on the 58kWh Life trim.
It is priced at €43,821 and adds metallic paint, 20-inch ‘Emden’ alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, exterior styling pack, tinted rear windows and an electric tailgate to the Life specification.
That additional equipment puts it at the same price as the 77kWh Life model, giving buyers that prefer equipment over range the option of a higher spec for the same price.
