Peugeot has said that it plans to offer visitors to the Paris Motor Show, which kicks off next week, a different experience on its stand each day.

Hang on — motor shows are a thing again?

They certainly seem to be, and this year’s Paris show is shaping up to be one of the biggest in many years, which lots of new cars and concepts queuing up to be displayed to a paying public.

Peugeot’s stand will include some high-profile new concept cars, but there will be more than merely cars at which to look.

What else is Peugeot doing at the show?

On Tuesday the 13th, the first proper day of the show, Peugeot will celebrate French craftsmanship with displays by the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (Best Craftsmen of France) and the Meilleurs Apprentis de France (Best Apprentices of France).

The stage will be turned into a workshop, and visitors to the stand will be able to get temporary tattoos, as well as see the live creation of a display by Séverine Gamba, an acclaimed entrepreneur in the fields of artistic make-up and body art.

Then on Wednesday the 14th, Peugeot will celebrate its links with rugby and the Stade Toulousain, with an event that puts French international cap Antoine Dupont on the stand.

What about the rest of the week?

Thursday the 15th will see the Peugeot stand focus on motor racing, especially Peugeot’s presence in the FIA World Endurance Championship, including Le Mans, and there will be on-stage challenges for showgoers to test their motorsports mettle, as well as a chance to meet racing driver Doriane Pin — LMP2 racer and 2025 F1 Academy champion — who will sign autographs as well as taking part in some of the challenges to set a proper benchmark.

On Friday, it’s all about the movies as Peugeot celebrates French cinema as part of its partnership with famous French studio Pathé.

There will be film-themed displays and a movie quiz, as well as a session with French director Alexandre Castagnetti, as Peugeot was a partner on his version of The Phantom Of The Opera.

Anything else?

Fans of fun cars should visit the Peugeot stand on Saturday the 17th, as that’s GTi day — featuring some of Peugeot’s legendary sporty models from the original 205 GTi to the new electric E-208 GTi.

There will be driving simulators and visitors will be challenged to beat benchmark lap times set by content creator Étienne Moustache and Julien Fébreau, Formula 1 commentator for Canal+ and Rallycross (WRX) competitor.

There’s also a presentation of a book dedicated to the history of GTi, featuring a foreword by Julien Fébreau, followed by a book-signing session.

Finally on Sunday, we’re back to craftsmanship and Peugeot says that it will be “unveiling an unprecedented partnership with a renowned French brand celebrated for the excellence of its craftsmanship.” No more details on that just yet we’re afraid.
