What is the idea behind DS's "Put the World on Mute" campaign?
The advert centres on blocking out the noise of the outside world. A man gets into the No.7 in the middle of a busy, chaotic city. Mimes act out the noise and stress around him. Once the doors close, everything goes quiet. The ad plays on the idea that No.7's cabin isolates drivers from outside distractions, letting them focus on the drive instead.
The soundtrack is a remix of Björk's "It's Oh So Quiet," chosen for the way it shifts between calm and sudden bursts of sound, mirroring the ad's contrast between the noisy city and the quiet cabin.
Speaking about the campaign, Bastien Schupp, DS Automobiles Marketing and Communications Director, said the “No.7 expresses a specific idea of travel where comfort, silence and refinement become an experience in their own right. The advertising campaign that will support this launch illustrates this singular vision of automotive well-being with accuracy and finesse.”
When does the DS No.7 arrive in Ireland?
Following its first public unveiling, the DS No.7 is scheduled to arrive in Ireland in late 2026, with the first models rolling into the showroom and onto the road for the 271-registration period in early 2027. We’ve already driven it if you want to read our detailed review.
What power and range do the DS No.7 have?
While no announcement has been made yet in terms of the Irish-market lineup, the No.7 is available in three guises: No.7 E-Tense, No.7 E-Tense Long Range and No.7 Hybrid.
The E-Tense offers up to 541km of WLTP-rated range, while the Long Range version extends that to 740km. Standard tech across the range includes adaptive cruise assist, active suspension and DS's own night vision and pixel-projection headlight systems.
DS electric vehicles come with an 8-year, 160,000km warranty on the traction battery.
How much does the DS No.7 cost in Ireland?
DS No.7 prices for Ireland have not yet been announced, but we expect the E-Tense versions to cost a little less than the equivalent DS No.8, which starts from €56,495.
