Renault will sell you one of its new electric cars with zero per cent interest for the upcoming 261 registration period that kicks off in January.
Which cars does that offer apply to?
That zero per cent finance offer - which is for Hire Purchase finance, incidentally, not PCP - applies to the Renault 5 E-Tech, the Megane E-Tech, the Scenic E-Tech, and the just-arriving new Renault 4 E-Tech. According to Renault Ireland, the offer - which is provided by Mobilize Financial Services (MFS), which used to be called the plain old Renault Bank - can save you as much as €4,000 over the lifetime of the loan, compared to a high-street bank.
What about PCP finance?
Yes, you can have that too, but it does come with 3.9 per cent APR interest, although the good news is that there's a zero-deposit offer for PCP finance available across the entire Renault lineup, not just the electric models.
What if I'm buying with cash?
If you're in the lucky position of not needing to take out finance, then Renault Ireland will knock more off the cost of a new car with a trade-in booster. It's part of a series of promotions that sees Mobilize tabling €100 million to loan to Irish customers through 2026, and if you're worried about taking out any finance, Renault's figures show a 90 per cent approval rate on new Renault applications and half of all customers have chosen PCP as their preferred payment option.
When do these offers start?
Right now, they're for orders taken between now and the end of December for cars that will be registered by the 31st of January.
What if I want a van?
There are offers for those, too. For 261 Renault vans, including the fourth generation multi-award winning New Master, Master E-Tech electric, Trafic and Kangoo will be available through MFS with an offer of 4.9 per cent APR on HP and Lease together with a five-year warranty.
