Leapmotor has announced full Irish pricing and specifications for the new C10 SUV, which goes on sale in Ireland from 13 October. The C10 will be available in two versions: a fully electric battery-powered model (BEV) and a range-extended version (REEV) that includes a petrol generator in the form of an on-board engine that can charge up the battery pack.

What is the Leapmotor C10?

The Leapmotor C10 is a five-seat family SUV from a Chinese brand making its debut in the Irish market this autumn. At 4.7 metres long, the C10 is roughly the size of the Tesla Model Y or BMW iX3 and is available in two trim levels - Style and Design - with both versions offering generous standard equipment.

How much does it cost?

The entry-level, fully electric C10 Style BEV starts at €38,995 including SEAI grant and VRT relief. The plug-in Style REEV version starts at €45,420. Full specifications and pricing will be announced closer to launch.

What's the range?

The C10 BEV has an official WLTP range of up to 420km and supports DC fast charging from 30 to 80 per cent in about 30 minutes. The REEV version has a smaller battery offering 145km of electric-only range but features a 1.5-litre petrol generator that extends total range up to 975km. Fast-charging for the REEV takes around 18 minutes.

What equipment do you get?

All models come with a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, navigation, a 12-speaker surround sound system, 360-degree parking cameras, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging and vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability.

Both trims feature Leapmotor's full 'Pilot ADAS' suite, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane assist, emergency braking, blind-spot detection and driver attention warning.

The Design trim adds 20-inch alloy wheels, heated and ventilated synthetic leather seats, rear privacy glass, a power tailgate and ambient lighting.

Keyless entry comes via an NFC card or smartphone app, and the system supports over-the-air (OTA) software updates.

Who is Leapmotor?

Leapmotor is a Chinese electric vehicle brand now partnered with Stellantis, the global group behind Peugeot, Citroen, Opel, Jeep and others. In Ireland, Leapmotor vehicles are being imported and distributed by Gowan Auto. The C10 is one of two models being launched in Ireland this year, alongside the compact Leapmotor T03 city car. A mid-size SUV called the B10 will follow, with more models planned for introduction in 2026.
