The ID.7 Pro S’s performance is largely due to its 86kWh (net) battery and an aerodynamic design, featuring a drag coefficient of 0.23. Even with optional features such as the Comfort package, IQ. Drive assist systems and Plus exterior package - extras that typically reduce range slightly - the vehicle exceeded its WLTP range estimates.
Fast charging for long-distance travel
Using a 200kW charging station, the ID.7 Pro S can add approximately 244 kilometres of range in just 10 minutes at its fastest recharging rate. Volkswagen’s Electric Vehicle Route Planner enhances efficiency by mapping out the optimal routes based on the vehicle’s charge level, available charging stations and real-time traffic data.
The VW ID.7 in Ireland
The ID.7 is already available in Ireland, starting at €56,490 for the ID.7 Pro Plus and ID.7 Tourer Pro Plus models. The ID.7 Pro Plus is equipped with a 77kWh battery and offers a WLTP range of up to 621km, positioning it as Volkswagen's flagship electric car. It includes advanced features such as a 15-inch infotainment touchscreen, augmented reality head-up display and adaptive chassis control, the latter improving both ride comfort and handling. The Tourer estate version provides added practicality with a spacious boot.
For those seeking higher performance, the ID.7 lineup also includes the GTX versions, which offer sportier driving dynamics and larger batteries. Prices for the ID.7 GTX start at €73,690 for the fastback or €74,290 for the estate version.
