Renault Ireland is offering a €3,500 discount on the Megane E-Tech Electric.

Renault Ireland is having more than a little success with its all-electric Megane E-Tech Electric hatchback. In fact, the electric Megane is currently sitting fourth in the electric car sales charts, and so now Renault has decided to boost that performance with a money-off offer.

Matching the SEAI grant

For the upcoming 241 number plate, Renault Ireland is offering a €3,500 discount on the Megane E-Tech Electric, which is the same as the SEAI grant that you get for buying an electric car. Combined, it means that there's now €7,000 being knocked off the official list price, bringing the price of the basic 300km-range version down to just over €36,000.

Renault Ireland is also offering a sharp PCP finance deal, which would put a Megane E-Tech Electric on your drive for €225 a month, on 4.9 per cent APR.

22kW AC charging

That puts you in the 40kWh battery Equilibre model, with its 300km range and - crucially - its standard-fit 22kW AC charging, which means you can do very quick top-ups from kerbside ESB chargers.

As standard, you also get a 12.3-inch driver's instrument display and a 9.0-inch central infotainment screen, both of which use Google software and are among the best in the business. Renault is also a car maker that champions its safety credentials, and points out that the Megane E-Tech Electric gets a maximum five-star score from Euro NCAP and comes with up to 26 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features available across the line-up.

Up to 450km range

Buyers can also upgrade to the bigger-battery 60kWh version, which comes with a 220hp electric motor and a potential range of up to 450km. This special offer will be valid on all orders taken for the Megane E-Tech Electric between now and January 31, 2024.

There are other offers, too. There's a 6.9 per cent APR PCP finance package for the Clio hatchback, with monthly payments of €225 and a five-year warranty. You could upgrade to the new Clio Hybrid for €275 per month, or there's the Captur crossover for €265 per month. Want a Captur Hybrid? That's €319 per month, or there's the Arkana crossover-coupe for €285 per month, or the Arkana hybrid for €299 per month.

Finally, there's the impressive new Austral hybrid SUV for €379 per month. There are offers on Renault's commercial van range too, including the new Kangoo for €309 per month, the electric Kangoo E-Tech for €425 per month, the Trafic for €379 per month and the Master for €375 per month, all with a five-year warranty.

You'll be able to get up close and personal with all of these cars, and offers, at the Renault National Sales Event, which runs from 9-11 November.
