Thinking of getting a 2020 Ford Puma 1.0. Hear they have some form of wet belt. Can you advise me of any problems with these cars?

I'm trying to choose an electric SUV. We have a diesel seven-seater but I'm looking for a practical car that can do everything the seven-seater can but I only need five seats for my commute of 50km there and 50km back.

We have four older kids (16 - 21), three of them six-foot and over but we have the seven-seater to accommodate the whole family.

I play golf so need to fit the golf clubs and I have an elderly father who struggles to get in and out of my car and has a rollator.

The MGS6 EV seems to meet most of my needs and the dual motor gives me the pep for overtaking on my commute on single carriageway main roads.

The boot seems adequate for clubs, trolly and rollator. I'm prepared to spend €60,000 but I'm not sure if the Xpeng G6, Skoda Enyaq or Sealion 7 give me what I need. A comfortable yet sporty ride would be great but not essential.

Range is not really an issue though the Xpeng seems to have great battery efficiency and friendly and seems to be a good option. The Enyaq is European which is nice. The MGS6 EV seems to have good physical buttons.

What would you recommend?

Can I tax my van privately and insure it commercially? I will be using it for both purposes and the insurance covers social domestic and pleasure use, but commercial tax does not.

Where is the gear selector situated in the new Hyundai Tucson?

What do you think of the circular screen in the 2026 MINI Countryman E? Did you find it a fiddle to use, especially the heating/climate controls?

People are reporting issues with the software; have you heard about this? The fact that almost every function happens through this worries me as a potential purchaser of this car.

When to replace the timing belt on a 2019 Volkswagen Golf?

My 23-year-old daughter is moving from Scotland to Dublin later this month and is taking her BMW 120 M Sport with her.

She will be working in Dublin for one year, possibly two. She has a full driving licence with no endorsements and has had no claims since she qualified to drive in Nov 2022.

Her existing UK insurance provider will cover her for only 30 days and so she will require insurance with an Irish provider. Are there companies who will provide such insurance? Will she be obliged to obtain an Irish licence and get Irish number plates?

I bought a car in August that had been off the road. Its NCT expired in March. Will a new NCT only last until next March?

Have the Dacia Bigster or Duster 360-degree camera systems?

Can you get the rear-drive electric Mercedes GLC with air suspension and rear-wheel steering?
