We would like to move into our first electric vehicle and have a shortlist of three cars: the Skoda Elroq, the VW ID.4 and the Volvo EX40 (or EX30). We currently drive a 2017 Volvo XC60. We are a family of four with two teenage girls and we mainly use our car for running around the city with the occasional family holiday road trip of 4-5 hours.

Do you have a preference or any information that can assist us to make a choice? We would also be interested in your thoughts on buying new vs second-hand EVs.

Are Japanese car imports harder to insure even if they have immobilisers fitted, whether originally or by the importing garage?

Does the new BYD Atto 3 Evo have a heated steering wheel?

When is the PV5 seven seater going to be available in Ireland? None in the forecourts yet?

Will the Irish Mazda dealers have a left-hand-drive show car of the Mazda CX-6e on tour? If so do you know an estimated date?

Is there a problem with the Skoda Elroq RS software? If so, what is it and can Skoda fix it?

I would like to know the braked trailer towing capacities here in Ireland of both the hybrid versions of the new Hyundai Tucson.

I have mobility problems, and I need to have a "corridor" behind my seat on the left side, so, it's great for me when I rest, to have only one bench, where I can stretch. Is it possible to make that small change?

I'm confused by the wording about importing an EV from NI. The car I am interested in is four months old but has only 3,750 miles (6,035km) on the clock. I'm buying from a franchise dealer. Can I import this VAT free?

If I import a car from NI that is not new but has been a company car for a year, would I need to pay VAT in ROI if it is above 6,000km?
