Which small car for infrequent use?

Can you recommend the best car for infrequent use? I currently own a 2010 1.6 SEAT Leon, but as I now bus it to work I don't need a diesel engine and it's gathering dust in the driveway weekdays. I just need something for pottering around at the weekend and any holidays. I'm thinking Nissan Micra, Hyundai i10/i20, Ford Fiesta. Don't need a huge car as there's only two of us. Not looking for something massively pricey, but with trade-in perhaps a 151 or 161 model.

Can I afford an Audi A5 or BMW 4 Series?

I currently drive a BMW 318d automatic. Got it the first day of the 162 reg. It has 82,000km (60/40 motorway/good regional roads) and I'm feeling the itch to change. However, I don't want to buy a new car again with the mileage that I do. Sore lesson learned. So maybe a 171 reg would work. I plan on keeping the next car I get for three years. Hoping that changing will only cost €10-12k.  I like the idea of an Audi A5 or a 4 Series. But I think they might be a bit of a stretch unless I look to the UK. What else could I look at?

Looking for a Honda Civic Type-S.

Is there any difference other that number of doors between a Honda Civic Type-S and the normal one? I'm talking about 2008 model. If looking for one of those, what should I be aware of? I'm interested in the 2.2 diesel.

Another question is, what is your view on a fuel and air energiser (activator)?

Is the Ford C-Max a wise investment?

Thinking of changing my 2010 Ford Focus Style 1.6 TDCi  hatchback for a 2012/2013 Ford Focus hatchback of similar engine size. Or maybe a Ford Focus C-Max of similar age. Any advice on what would be best? Wondering about selling on the C-Max in a few years - is there much demand for them with the wide variety of SUV/crossover vehicles available now?

Ford Focus, Opel Astra or Hyundai i30?

I intend to replace my car soon with something more powerful than my 1.0-litre Corsa. I've been looking mostly at an Opel Astra, Ford Focus, or Hyundai i30, and my budget is up to €10,000. Would there be an obvious standout to buy in those three, or any major issues with them? Also, I cover about 650km/week between commuting and life, 90 per cent of which is on good regional roads. Would you have a recommendation either way on whether to choose a petrol or diesel engine?

Thanks
