Toyota Corolla celebrates 60th with special edition
The Toyota Corolla is celebrating its 60th anniversary, having recorded more than 57 million sales worldwide since its introduction in 1966. To mark the milestone, Toyota is launching limited-run 60th Anniversary versions of the Corolla hatchback, Touring Sports estate and saloon, featuring unique paint finishes, 17-inch alloy wheels, additional exterior detailing and commemorative badging. Irish-market availability has yet to be confirmed but is expected later in the year. An all-new Corolla will be launched in 2027.
Geek out: updated Toyota GR86 gear change
Toyota has updated the GR86: "For the manual transmission model, the chamfer on the shift interlock is now 0.5 mm broader for enhanced operability when downshifting from fifth to fourth gear, ensuring smoother, stress-free, at-the-limit corner entry. The result is a seamless transition from deceleration to turn-in that delivers the GR86's signature responsive driving performance."
