It's been a busy day at the Paris Motor Show, but Dave eventually found his way to the Renault stand to look at the very cool E-Space concept. We don't remember people carriers being this cool ever and we sincerely hope Renault can make a business case for putting this one into production.
This morning, Renault released full details and all of its images of the new E-Space concept car, for all the world, a preview to an electric MPV inspired by the original Renault Espace might look. Its exterior design is cool and it gets the all-important versatile interior. But we're glad to see that, along with touchscreens everywhere you look, it gets good old-fashioned family entertainment on board as well, in the form of an integrated Connect 4 game. Magnifique!
Renault is adding a panoramic glass roof option to the Twingo, with the new ‘Twingobay’ option set to appear at the 2026 Paris Motor Show next week. The fixed roof has no blind, but Renault says its multilayer construction filters 99.9 per cent of UV radiation and limits heat entering the cabin. Renault is also introducing Google Gemini as an optional over-the-air replacement for Google Assistant on cars using its OpenR Link infotainment system.
With less than a week to go to the media day at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, Renault has released a single image and some initial information on its centrepiece, the E-Space concept. You don't need to be old enough to remember the original 1984 Renault Espace people carrier to know that the French company is alluding to an new Espace MPV of the near future. Renault revealed the spectacular electric Renault 8 Gordini concept. Inspired by the 1964 original, the two-seat coupe mixes double white stripes, squared wheelarches and six-light front end with a low, wide stance. Power comes from a rear-mounted 270hp electric motor, while mixed-size wheels add to the motorsport look. It’s called an exploratory design study rather than a production car (but OMG we are crossing our fingers) and makes its public debut at the Renault Carwalk on 24 September before appearing at the Paris Motor Show from 12-18 October.
