Brian Cooke will take up the role with the Society of the Irish Motor Industry in 2019.
The Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) has named Brian Cooke as its new Director General Designate. The announcement was made at SIMI's National Executive Council meeting, with Mr Cooke expected to take up the role in the second quarter of 2019. He will take over from the current Director General, Alan Nolan, who will is set to retire next year.
Mr Cooke brings a good deal of experience with him to the role. Previously he has held positions in both the Society and industry as Deputy Director General, Financial Controller and Secretary.
