Currently, the SEAI offers a €600 grant towards to installation of a home charging point. It is available for the purchase of both new and used electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles provided it is registered for private use. The grant conditions state that the EV or PHEV must be parked off-street, either in a garage or driveway and the charger must be connected to eh fuse board of the applicant's home.
