Road Test Editor for CompleteCar.ie, Dave Humphreys, has been selected for the AutoBest Jury Panel as the representative for Ireland - each country has just one representative, irrespective of its size.
The AutoBest Awards have been running since 2001 and now has jury members from 26 countries, comprised of many of the leading and most respected automotive journalists, and covers more than 91 per cent of the European population, approximately 691 million people.
The AutoBest Awards takes a more consumer-driven approach, with only those cars costing €20,000 or less excluding local taxes qualifying for judgement in the Best Buy Car of Europe category.
The AutoBest Jury also present awards in other categories that look at aspects of design, safety, technological advancement and environmental sensitivity. It also recognises individuals and companies that have made significant contributions to the automotive industry.

Last year's winner of the AutoBest Best Buy Car of Europe Award was the Opel Corsa, where company CEO, Karl Thomas Neumann was on hand to accept the award.
