Fort Motor Group to open Ford dealership in the New Year.

Ford to return to Blanchardstown

What's the news?

Blanchardstown Ford, closed since 2013 when its parent company went into liquidation, is to reopen in the New Year under the control of Fort Motor Group, one of the largest and longest established members of the Ford dealer network family.

The Blanchardstown premises closed alongside Finglas Ford - now owned by the Joe Duffy Motor Group - but Fort Motor Group owners, Cyril and Paul Molly, are delighted with the opportunity to reopen the premises. "It is an excellent facility and location, right beside the shopping centre with acres of space. Plus Blanchardstown is a superb area in which to do business."

Alan Nolan of the Society of the Irish Motor Industry added that the move by their long established member shows that confidence is returning to the motor sector and that "the timing couldn't be better with demand for new cars and vans expected to rocket again next year."
