Audi challenges start-ups to speed pitching

What's the news?
We've heard of speed dating but speed pitching? That makes the Dragon's Den look like a walk in the park. That is exactly the task put to start-up companies as part of the Web Summit - sit in the back of an Audi A3 Sportback e-tron with a venture capitalist and pitch them your idea. The only issue is that you have one lap of the Mondello park circuit, or 90 seconds or so, to get it all done and hopefully secure some investment.

The e-tron is Audi's new plug-in-hybrid model and while its pure electric mode can achieve up to 50 kilometres without the TFSI petrol engine firing up it also has over 200hp when the two powerplants are combined but that did not seem to faze German start-up Orderbird which secured the valuable investment for its iPad based point of sale (POS) system.
