Commenting on the donation of the cars, Managing Director of Cogans Carrigaline, Robert Cogan, said, "The team here at Marymount are providing a vital support to communities throughout Cork, as the cars will be used by community nurses to provide palliative care to patients who are seriously ill. It's great that Cogans can support this team as the work they carry out is invaluable."

Marymount Hospice provides respite care and intermediate palliative care, as well as continuing care for older people with both cancer and non-cancer illnesses. It is a designated specialist care centre for the Cork and Kerry region, which serves a population of close to 600,000.
