The agreement was formally signed by Seamus Morgan, CEO of Cedar Motors Limited, and Kevin and John O'Leary, directors of Kevin O'Leary Group. Cedar Motors is the importer for Renault and Dacia in Ireland.
Kevin O'Leary Group is a family-owned motor retail business established in 1963. Alongside Renault and Dacia, it also represents Opel, Mazda, Honda and Suzuki. The company has head office functions in Bandon and Silversprings, operates across Cork city and county and Tipperary, and also runs Hi-Line Leasing, four Serviceworld multi-brand service centres and two approved CVRT light commercial vehicle test centres.
The appointment means Renault returns to Bandon and Dacia will be represented in West Cork for the first time. It also expands Kevin O'Leary Group's existing relationship with both brands, as the company already operates Renault and Dacia franchises from its Clonmel dealership.

Cedar Motors said the move forms part of the ongoing development of the Renault and Dacia dealer network in Ireland. It also expects Renault passenger car and light commercial vehicle market share, as well as Dacia market share, to grow in the region.
Speaking about the appointment, Seamus Morgan, CEO of Cedar Motors Limited, said: "We are pleased to welcome Kevin O'Leary Bandon to the Renault and Dacia network. This appointment reflects our commitment to strengthening our dealer presence and ensuring customers have access to high-quality sales and aftersales services across the country.”
John O'Leary, director of Kevin O'Leary Group, said: "Securing the Renault and Dacia franchises for our Bandon dealership represents an important step forward for our business. Both brands have a strong reputation for innovation and value, and we look forward to bringing that offering to our customers while continuing to grow our operations across the region.”
