The Wexford Car Centre, based - as if you hadn't guessed already - in Wexford Town, specifically in Ardcavan, has taken home a seriously prestigious prize, having been named as one of Kia's Global Best Dealers.
That's a big deal, right?
It really is. According to Kia: "This prestigious award was given exclusively to the best Kia dealers across the world, as part of Kia's distinctive global dealer excellence recognition programme. Dealers are recognised for the previous years performance in delivering outstanding standards, customer service, customer facilities, staff training and development, sales performance and local market share.” Only 100 dealers around the world received one of the Global Best awards for 2025, and only three of those were in Europe.
So what does it mean for the Wexford Car Centre?
Well, quite apart from the kudos involved, Wexford Car Centre also gets the Kia Platinum Prestige status, a status that's only enjoyed by around three per cent of the brand's worldwide dealerships.
What did the guys in Wexford have to say about this?

Speaking about the award, Diarmaid Boland, Managing Director of Wexford Car Centre, commented, "I am extremely honoured to have achieved this award on behalf of all the team here in Wexford. We have been in business since 1981 and our customer centric approach is always supported by great staff and this award is completely due to their hard work. This award is testament to the entire team and I would like to thank everyone here at Wexford Car Centre for their hard work and dedication to our customers.”
What was Kia Ireland's response?
Ronan Flood, Managing Director at Kia Ireland, added, "This award from Kia recognises hard work, commitment and dedication to the brand and to our customers. From Thomas, Niall and their sales team to Eamon and his aftersales team and everyone involved with Wexford Car Centre, they have all worked very hard to achieve it and are fully deserving of this recognition. We congratulate all the team in Wexford for their contribution in achieving this award.”
Actually, Kia Ireland is one something of a roll at the moment - it's the fifth-best-selling brand overall so far in 2026, and the third-best-selling brand when it comes to electric cars. The Kia Sportage is the third-best-selling car overall right now, and the brand is just about to launch some key new models, including the K4 petrol hatchback and the super-cool PV5 electric MPV and van.
