Renault health programme for all employees

Renault is going to be taking better care of its global workforce with the launch of a new in-house healthcare strategy designed to “guarantee its employees equitable access to quality care.”

What's this healthcare programme going to do?

According to Renault, its new 'OneHealth' programme is going to be “dedicated to health and well-being, guaranteeing equitable access to high-quality care. It offers a complete package, including free check-ups organised and financed by the company, a digital platform, a network of workplace health professionals located close to the business locations, as well as teleconsultations, personalised advice and psychological assistance available 24/7.”

The services will be free to use for Renault employees and will be - in part - also accessible for their families.

How is the new programme going to work?

Basically, like all good healthcare programmes, OneHealth will focus on both prevention and cure. So, for a start all Renault employees will be encouraged to use the Personify Health wellbeing app.

More than 4,000 Renault employees already use this app, and the company says that it offers “personalised advice, good health practices and individual and group challenges to boost motivation on a daily basis.”

Then there's a regular free health checkup for all employees. For those under the age of 45, this will be a virtual check-up, and for those over 45 it will be a proper in-person physical. There will be some personalised monitoring for those employees who already have health issues - such as high blood pressure or a bad back - and there will be targeted advice, both physical and psychological.

For any health issues that come up, there's a network of 148 health centres in 12 countries, which Renault says “Offers local access to healthcare professionals. OneHealth also offers a 24/7 hotline for psychological support tailored to the personal, family or professional concerns of employees and their household members.”

When does the programme start?

It already has. OneHealth was launched initially in 2024, and is now being rolled out globally, and Renault estimates that 95 per cent of its employees are already covered.

The plan is to hit 100 per cent by September. While in the major European nations, with their developed national healthcare systems, the programme is more of an add-on, in other countries it's rather more vital, such as in India, where Renault says that it sees “the programme's ability to adapt to the health challenges specific to each region. It also illustrates the Group's commitment to offering a system that goes beyond simple standardised deployment, to provide a concrete response to local needs.”

"OneHealth testifies to the importance Renault Group places on people, and I'm delighted that it's now open to everyone, worldwide. This program is a strategic investment that goes beyond the simple social aspect and is part of a long-term vision. It fits in with our ESG approach, which aims to balance economic performance, respect for the environment and social commitment. As a responsible company, we are aware that the health and well-being of our employees are key success factors. This program also contributes to strengthening diversity and inclusion within the Renault Group, by offering support tailored to the needs of everyone.” said Bruno Laforge, Chief People & Organisation Officer, Renault Group.
