Volkswagen Ireland and JAB Holdings join forces

Volkswagen Ireland has signed up JAB Auto Holdings — you might know them better as the Boland group of dealers — as a partner for the Volkswagen brand in the southeast.

500 square metres

The first fruit of that partnership will be a major new dealership located on the Cork Road — Waterford city’s ‘motor mile’ — which has been designed by EMD Architects. It will include a modern showroom and 500 square metres of space to display and sell Volkswagen passenger cars and Volkswagen commercial vehicles.

20 ramp service workshop

There will also be a workshop area with no fewer than 20 ramps, which will increase the availability of servicing for VW owners in the southeast.

The move will support up to 20 jobs, and JAB Auto Holdings has said that it will be looking to recruit both sales and aftersales staff for passenger and commercial vehicles.

Synonymous with excellence

Alan Bateson, Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars Ireland, said: “JAB Auto Holdings Ltd, which forms part of the Boland Group, is synonymous with excellence in customer care in Waterford and beyond. I am delighted they have agreed to become the latest addition to our nationwide network of retailers and look forward to working closely with the team as they showcase Volkswagen vehicles, starting with our 251 models that are available to order now.”

JAB Auto Holdings Ltd.’s Dealer Principal James Boland said: "We are delighted to be appointed as the new Volkswagen Passenger and Commercial Vehicle partner in Waterford. This exciting opportunity enables us to offer Volkswagen’s renowned quality, innovation, and exceptional service to the region through our dedicated team. Our commitment is to deliver an outstanding customer experience while strengthening Volkswagen’s presence in Waterford. We look forward to welcoming customers and supporting them with exceptional vehicles and aftersales care."
