Windsor Group opens MotorMall in Galway

Windsor Group, one of Ireland's largest car dealer groups, has opened a new 'MotorMall' on the outskirts of Galway city, proclaiming that it will change the face of car buying in the west of Ireland.

500 cars on-site

The new mall, in which Windsor has invested €10 million, will be a multi-brand outlet, featuring Nissan, Renault, Dacia, Mazda and Citroën dealerships, as well as commercial vehicle services. The Windsor MotorMall Galway (to give it its official title) will have around 500 cars on-site and available to buy and will give Galway and west of Ireland customers access to more than 2,000 further cars through Windsor's national sales network.

The 36,000-square metre site has been inspired by Windsor's previous motor mall efforts at Exit 5 of Dublin's M50 motorway. The MotorMall Galway is, like the Dublin version, based on a major route into and out of the city, in this case, the Monivea Road.

Great news for the city

Heading up MotorMall Galway will be Jacinta Kilduff, who will be its General Manager. A Galway native (from nearby Clarinbridge), Kilduff has worked with Windsor for 25 years. Commenting on her new role, Jacinta Kilduff, General Manager, Windsor MotorMall Galway said: "I am delighted to be appointed to this new position at such an exciting time for Windsor. We are a long-established business in Galway and our expansion is great news for the city and wider region, providing local car buyers and owners with extensive choice, service and convenience at one highly accessible location".

"We have the largest selection of new and certified approved used cars anywhere in the region. Our focus is on providing motorists in Galway and surrounding counties with great choice and great brands under one roof. This exceptional retail experience is backed by expert advice and a high standard of customer care that enables customers to buy with confidence and to drive away happy," she added.

Multiple MotorMall sites

Commenting on Windsor's expansion and the rollout of its MotorMall concept, Peter Nicholson, Managing Director of Windsor said: "Our aim is to open multiple MotorMall sites across Ireland. We are delighted to open our second MotorMall and to expand our presence in Galway. Nothing like this exists in the region and it enables Windsor to deliver an exceptional level of sales and AfterCare service to new and existing customers".

"We have pioneered and proven that the MotorMall concept works in Ireland. Windsor has a strong track record of helping car brands to grow their market share and we intend to build upon that. Today's customers are seeking choice, value and expert advice under one roof. We provide an easy, convenient and enjoyable shopping experience and our customers have responded very positively to that," he added.
