Joe Duffy to purchase C.A.B. Motors in Cork

The Joe Duffy Group will, assuming the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) gives the go-ahead, purchase C.A.B. Motors in Cork.

C.A.B. is a familiar name to anyone who grew up in Cork and has been a Ford main dealer since 1925.

Duffy's 50th anniversary

Assuming that the CCPC does give its assent, the deal should go through by the end of November. Commenting, Gavin Hydes, CEO of Joe Duffy Group, said: "I am delighted to confirm that we have agreed to purchase C.A.B. Motor Company Limited, subject to the statutory approval of The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission. This acquisition further demonstrates our ambition to grow and increase our national footprint in Munster. I look forward to welcoming the C.A.B. team to the Group. In operation since 1925, we are delighted to acquire this landmark business in Cork.
