The C40 Recharge was Volvo's first exclusively electric car and it's a highly competent effort. It's practical, it drives well and the interior is a lovely (and safe) place to be. The C40 feels like a well-finished premium product, though in dual-motor form, it's priced like one too. Volvo has just updated the C40 with a new rear-wheel-drive layout, or an updated four-wheel-drive two-motor version, as well as an optional larger battery that for the first time pushes the range north of 500km.
