Could Volkswagen’s latest ID model, and the first ID saloon, be the best yet? The ID.7 will arrive later this year with a slick, handsome shape, a massively roomy cabin and a new 286hp electric motor driving the rear wheels. Initially, it will come with a 77kWh battery pack for a very generous 615km range, but there’ll be an upgraded model in due course with a new 86kWh battery for a massive 700km range. The ID.7 will have its hands full with the Tesla Model 3, the BYD Seal and the Hyundai Ioniq 6, but it’s already looking like an impressive EV.
