Subaru E-Outback
The Subaru E-Outback is an all-electric estate with proper off-road credentials.
Subaru’s tie-up with Toyota has resulted in three EVs in each brand. But whereas Subaru’s smaller Solterra and Uncharted models were primarily developed and built by Toyota in that company’s facilities, for the E-Outback Subaru is taking the lead and producing the car in its own plant. To that end, the E-Outback feels properly Subaru-like - it’s an electric estate with lots of rugged body cladding on the outside, a no-nonsense and spacious interior within (including a whopping 633-litre boot) and the sort of off-road ability that most other four-wheel-drive cars, electric or otherwise, could only dream of. Thankfully, E-Outback is comfortable and rewarding when it’s on the road, too.
