Renault 5

The R5 is back, electric, and really rather desirable.

If you can hear a watery sound, it’s probably just our hearts melting at the look of the new electric Renault 5. OK, so retro design is reductive and cynical but who cares when reduction and cynicism produce something that looks this good? Cute on the outside and the inside, the 5 also gets decent electric range (especially with the larger 52kWh battery) and will be more affordable than the old Renault Zoe thanks to dramatic reductions in the cost of building its platform. You get a choice of jazzy, bright colours and expect lots of funky special editions as the model ages.
