Polestar 5

Coming soon: the high-performance Polestar 5 will top the line-up.

The Polestar 5 will launch in 2025 as the company’s flagship high-performance saloon. Its pace will rival that of the Porsche Taycan Turbo S and Tesla Model S Plaid, and it will be the first Polestar model to be built on a bespoke platform rather than sharing existing Volvo architecture. It closely resembles the Precept concept car and, as with the Polestar 4, the 5 won’t have a rear window. Instead, it will rely on rearview digital cameras. It is also due to be the first production car to use StoreDot’s extreme fast charging (XFC) technology, which claims to add 160 kilometres of range in five minutes at a suitably quick charger.
