Peugeot E-308

Peugeot E-308

The Peugeot E-308 is the French company’s first attempt at electric running gear in a family hatchback.

The Peugeot E-308 follows in the footsteps of the French company’s pioneering - and smaller - E-208 and E-2008 models. Taking the Stellantis group’s tried-and-tested electric vehicle platform, called the eCMP2, and fitting it with a 115kW (156hp) motor plus 54kWh (gross capacity) battery pack, the resulting electric family hatchback from Peugeot is a seriously talented competitor in its class. The E-308 has the beneficial attributes of its petrol-, diesel- and hybrid-powered relations, such as a lovely interior and smart exterior styling, only it adds to those with all the usual bonuses of an EV - such as top-notch refinement and cheap running costs. A lot of the E-308’s success will depend on its pricing, once confirmed, but Peugeot has given this accomplished hatchback all the tools it needs to triumph in what is a very competitive segment of the market.
