MG 5
[No longer in production]
The MG 5 was an exceedingly rare thing - a practical electric car that’s actually an estate, rather than an SUV. The only other one on sale at the same time was the Porsche Taycan Turismo, although more rivals will start to arrive over the next few years. Mind you, they’ll be hard pressed to be as affordable as the 5, which is very sharply priced. A just-over 400km range from a 61kWh battery is slightly disappointing, but the upgraded cabin and touchscreen (compared to the older 5) are big improvements, and the 479-litre boot means it’s still one of the most practical family EVs around.
