Kia Niro EV

Kia Niro EV

The second-generation Kia Niro looks rather more distinctive.

The unusual-looking Niro EV not only has a good on-paper electric range on one charge, but it also clings grimly to that range on a long journey in a useful manner. It’s also reasonably roomy (the boot’s bigger by far than that of the plug-in hybrid model) and it gets some posh cabin fixtures and fittings from the bigger, more expensive Kia EV6. It’s not the most thrilling thing to drive, though.
